Candidate Information
Persons interested in running for Salt Lake County office, State Legislature, or State or Local School Board may file their declarations and pay the filing fee in the County Clerk's office during the candidate filing period in even-numbered years. The Candidate Filing Period for 2012 is March 9 - March 15.

Municipal elections are nonpartisan and are held in odd-numbered years to elect the City Mayor and Council members. Candidates must file their declarations with their City Recorder.
